Adding a little natural element to fall decorating always feels right to me. Pumpkins, feathers, gourds, leaves… it makes for a fabulous fall display, don’t you think? Today I’m partnering up with some fantastic bloggers to share how we incorporate natural elements for fall decorating. As for me? It’s all about the twig lamp shade. Doesn’t it just scream “FALL!”?

How to Install Board and Batten. Great tips!

I love moldings.  You know,  Craftsman style/old home goodness type moldings.  Our house has a bead board island and a few rooms with crown molding and that’s about as far as we get in the molding department.
When we were designing our house neither of us wanted a stand builder grade construction home.  What did we have the budget for?  A slight step above a standard builder grade construction home.  Moldings cost money.  Pharmacy school loans trump moldings.  Sad but true.  As my pharmacy school loans decrease, moldings in our house increase.  Is this enough math for you?  I thought so.  How about some a pretty pictures?
As I was wasting precious time on the ol’ Pinterest, I ran across this beauty…

St. Patrick's Day centerpiece

Brad didn’t believe that I made them myself at first, so I had to show him the “before” pics off of my camera.  I took this as a compliment.  I like it so much I think I might do this as the centerpiece on half of our reception tables.

This DIY floral spring wreath is super easy to make-she shares a step by step photo tutorial

This time last week we were getting 8 inches of snow.  Can you believe that? And tomorrow we are expecting flurries again…but this past weekend we had a glorious few days of temperatures in the low 60s and I am deep in the depths of spring fever! So despite the promise of at least one more snow, I made this pretty DIY spring wreath for the front door. (You’ll have to excuse many of the pictures in the tutorial-I started making the wreath while sitting out on my front stoop watching my boys {finally} getting some awesome outside time!)

How to DIY picture frame moldings on a budget!

I know, I know… this craft room makeover has been taking forever. But that’s real life for me. Other things kept getting put on the front burner like our kitchen backsplash and sun room makeover.
But now I’m putting the finishing touches on my craft room, starting with some picture frame moldings and chair rail on a budget.
